I'd feel a bit weird dating anyone over 21 as a teen. I guess at 20 I can bump that up to 22, there's no way I could date at 25yo or older. I think the issue with age becomes smaller as you get older. A 17yo and a 20yo is dodgy. A 20yo and 25yo is just about okay. A 25yo and a 30yo is fine.

My boyfriend and I have been best friends for over a year, and dating for 6 months. He has talked about getting a set of rings for us that symbolize a commitment to each other, so basically promise rings. But everyone I've mentioned it to has said that promise rings are for middle schoolers and we are too old for them, especially since we are a rather mature couple by most standards.

• I'm a sophomore dating an 8th grader, I'm 15, shes 14 (About a 1 year 5 month age differnce). Even my friends say its weird, the one who says it the most is a senior (18) dating a freshman. There is about 8 days of school left until she would be a freshman anyways.
• I personally believe you should date within 2 years until you're 20, then it opens up a bit, but I mean come on. 15 and 19 is an absolute MASSIVE difference. The difference between a 15 and 16 year old, 16 and 17 year old, 17 and 18 year old, and 18 to 19 year old are some of the most noticeable gaps in age difference maturity.
